Yabancı Doğrudan Yatırımlar ve Çatışma Sonrası Kentlerin Yeniden İnşası
Boğaziçi Üniversitesi Geliştirme Vakfı (BUVAKIF) tarafından düzenlenen ve ESSCA School of Management – ESSCA EU*Asia Institute ile Boğaziçi Üniversitesi iş birliğiyle hayata geçirilecek olan FDI and Cities Forum’un altıncısı, 23 Ekim 2025 Perşembe günü İstanbul’da gerçekleştirilecek. Etkinliğe Cumhurbaşkanlığı Yatırım ve Finans Ofisi de destek veriyor.
“Foreign Direct Investment and the Post-Conflict Reconstruction of Cities” başlığıyla düzenlenecek forum, çatışma ve şiddet sonrasında zarar gören kentlerin yeniden yapılanmasında yabancı doğrudan yatırımların (FDI) nasıl bir rol üstlenebileceğini tartışmaya açacak.
Çatışma sonrası şehirlerin ekonomik ve sosyal yapılarının onarılmasında FDI’ın etkisi; değişen yatırım motivasyonları, kırılgan kent ortamları ve belirsizlikler göz önünde bulundurulduğunda kritik bir mesele olarak öne çıkıyor. Forumda bu alandaki güçlükler, politika yapıcılar, akademisyenler ve yatırım teşvik alanından temsilcilerin katkılarıyla farklı açılardan değerlendirilecek.
Etkinlikte hem Türkiye’den hem de uluslararası akademiden uzmanların yanı sıra politika çevrelerinden ve yatırım teşvik topluluklarından konuşmacılar yer alacak. Forum, yabancı yatırımların çatışma sonrası kentlerin yeniden inşasındaki rolüne dair bilgi üretmeyi ve politika geliştirmeyi hedefliyor.

The sixth edition of the FDI and Cities Forum, organized by the Boğaziçi University Development Foundation (BUVAKIF) in cooperation with ESSCA School of Management – ESSCA EU*Asia Institute and Boğaziçi University, will be held on Thursday, 23 October 2025, in Istanbul. The event is supported by the Investment and Finance Office of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye.
Focusing on the theme “Foreign Direct Investment and the Post-Conflict Reconstruction of Cities”, the forum will address the role of foreign direct investment (FDI) in rebuilding cities that have been severely affected by conflict and violence.
As investment motives grow increasingly complex and urban environments become more fragile and uncertain, the contribution of FDI to restoring the economic and social fabric of post-conflict cities has emerged as a pressing issue. At the forum, policymakers, academics, and representatives from investment promotion communities will examine these challenges from multiple perspectives.
The event will feature speakers from both Turkish and international academia, as well as from policy and investment circles. It seeks to generate knowledge and foster policy development on the role of FDI in post-conflict reconstruction.
